he Book, 'A new Lexicon of the Kashmirs' regarding observations of author on the happenings that took place since 1990, written by B.L. Saraf, retired Principal District and session Judge was released by Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Hussan Mir in a simple but impressive function here on Saturday.

The book expresses satirically the writer's observations regarding the happenings in Jammu and Kashmir that took place since 1990.

Apart from exposing the compulsions of young exiles and their indifference towards their aged parents, the definitions of the words in book reflect a sad commentary on the political and historical events of Kashmir and the conditions of Pandit exiles living in Jammu and other parts of country.

The book also reflects on ostentatious living of the Kashmiri Pandits and its adverse effect on the exclusive culture of KPs. There are also observations about the Muslim leadership and militancy. The author has not spared the militants, politicians and other sections of the society.

Those present on the occasion included MLC Mohammed Yousuf Teing, veteran Journalist Ved Bhasin, MLC- Vijay Bakaya, eminent Physician Dr. K.L. Chowdhery and noted Journalist Sham Koul. An eminent Journalist P.K. Joseph Dhar read a paper in critical appreciation of the book and described several aspects of the book in his unique style.
