PK sets target of 10,000 members 
he reorganized Panun Kashmir which became stronger after the merger of PK and PKM is all set to establish itself as a major force to reckon with among the Kashmiri Pandits.Panun Kashmir lead by two strong leaders Dr Agnishekhar and Ashwani Chrangoo have decided to expand its mass base among Pandits by launching a major membership drive all over India and abroad. Disclosing this at a press conference here today, the Panun Kashmir leaders Dr Agnishekhar and Ashwani Charngoo said that the reorganization of Panun Kashmir will be taken to new heights through this membership drive adding a target of 10,000 members has been set for the first phase of the drive. The leaders disclosed that a 6-member committee constituted on June 7 after working out the reorganization framework has outlined a number of steps including a membership drive for its general council numbering 10,000 initially. They said that among other major steps to be initiated include (i) setting up of five tier Organizational structure, (ii) 24-Department Organizational Structure to be supervised by Convener and President respectively, (iii) setting up of 35 member global level office bearers team (iv) nomination of Prof M L Raina as Chairman Political Affairs Committee (v) constitution of 4 members Organizing Secretaries national level team (vi) nomination of Rahul Kaul as Coordinator Maharashtra State and Rohit Bhat as Coordinator Pune while P. Bhan will be Chairman, Disciplinary Action Committee and Grievance Cell. They said that Panun Kashmir has also constituted a 108 member Executive Council comprising 75 members from J&K, 25 from other states and 8 from outside India. The annual convention of the general council shall be held every year on 28th December, the Homeland Day, they added. |
