KP's unite for Home land: observe Balidhan Divas in Delhi by: Rockey Pandita |

he Kashmiri Pandits putting up in Delhi and NCR observed 14th September (Sunday) as Balidan divas at different places in Delhi. By observing Balidan divas KPs pay homage to all those martyrs who laid down their lives defending the National sovereignty and integrity in Jammu and Kashmir. They are observing 14th September as martyrs day for last 19 years after being forced to leave their homes and properties in Kashmir. Various KP organizations like Panun Kashmir, Kashmiri Samithi Delhi, ASKPC, RIK, KHA Rohini and others jointly observed the 'Balidan Divas' at Jantar Mantar and demanding Homeland for the exiled community. 14th September (Kashmiri pandit balidan divas) reminds us of our forced exile from Kashmir Valley and symbolises our struggle for our Homeland movement’ said Dr.Ajay Chrangoo Chairman, Pannun Kashmir in a release. “Kashmir belongs to Kashmiri Hindus as much it belongs to any other kashmiri, hence no settlement on Kashmir will be acceptable which excludes kashmiri hindus and impairs integrity and sovereignty of India.” said Sh Kamal Wagnoo, secretary Delhi NCR. The gen,secratery and spokesman of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference Kundan Kashmiri hailed the recent statement of Raj Nath Singh on Pandits It was heartening to note that various KP organizational heads such as Dr. Ajay Chrangoo, Chairman Panun Kashmir, Dr.L.N.Dhar President KSD, Kundan Kashmiri General Secretary ASKPC and some local association heads were all sitting together for a common cause and demanding homeland for the exiled Kashmiri Hindu community. The gathering at Jantar Mantar was addressesd by Dr. Ajay Chrungoo Chairman and Sh. Kuldeep Raina -General Secretary Panun Kashmir, Rakesh Kaul General Secretary KSD, Kundan Kashmiri Gen,secratery and spokesman ASKPC, Dr. Shakti Bhan, Ashutosh Taploo, and others. At another venue, B.K.Ganju Memorial park, Gole market, Delhi, Balidan Diwas was observed by paying homage to martyrs. Major organizations like JKVM, AIKS, KSD, KPUF, came together to observe this important day. The speakers stressed the need to follow the resolution to observe balidan divas at B.K.Ganju Memorial park in word and sprit. A press release from JKVM paid homage to all those martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the two decades of terrorist violence in the state and also to those who laid down their lives during the recent Amaranth Sangrah agitation. |
