| AIKS felicitates Dr. Mrs. Sudha Kaul and Major Gen. designate Sunil Razdan New Delhi (India) April 9, 2010 |

ll India Kashmiri Samaj felicitated Dr. Mrs. Sudha Kaul, Founder and Vice Chairperson of the Institute of Cerebral Palsy, Kolkata, on her being conferred with the civilian honour of Padmashri and Major Gen.- designate Sunil K. Razdan at Lal Ded Memorial Hall, KECSS, Pamposh Enclave, New Delhi. The function was attended by a large number of Kashmiri Pandit community members living in and around Delhi NCR.The function started with General Secretary Dr. Romesh Raina welcoming the guests, who described the function as the first of its kind when the members belonging to the KP community are recognized for their significant contribution to the nation in their respective fields. Dr. Sudha Kaul’s Award comes in recognition to her work in the field of Cerebral Palsy and Maj. Gen. S. K. Razdan for his heroic role in anti-terrorist operations in Kashmir. Shri H. N. Nehru, former President KSD and Shri C. L. Sapru presented the bouquets to them. In his address, Shri Moti Kaul President, AIKS expressed his happiness on the recognition conferred on Dr. Sudha Kaul and Maj. General - designate Razdan for their commendable achievements. He said it was heartening to see such stalwarts coming from a numerically small community like ours. Numbers don’t matter but it is the talent and merits that counts, he added. He congratulated both of them for making the community proud through their achievements. He felicitated Dr. Sudha Kaul and Mr. Razdan by presenting them with mementoes and shawls as a token of love and respect from the grateful community. Dr. Ms. Sudha Kaul, in her speech, expressed her gratitude to AIKS for arranging such a felicitation function in her honour. She was overwhelmed with joy and offered her services to the community anytime. She said that she holds the community felicitation very dear as this was something new for her and she would cherish this honour as her biggest achievement. Maj. Gen.-designate S. K. Razdan conveyed his gratitude to AIKS for the honour and observed that his role in anti-terrorists operations need not be highlighted as he was a committed soldier and whatever he was doing, it was for the country, which was always his first passion. He also said that if given a chance again, he would love to serve the nation to his best capacity as a proud citizen of the country and a disciplined soldier. |

Puran Patwari, a Panun Kashmir activist is General Secretary, Hari Parbhat Mata Mandir Prabhandak Committee Chekreashewer Anangpur, Faridabad, He was also associated with Kashmiri Sewak Samaj Faridabad and was its General Secretary when Padhamshri J.N.Kaul (Papa Ji) was its president.Currently he is also Secretary, All India Kashmiri Samaj -AIKS.After migrating from Kashmir in the year 1990's he is currently living at Faridabad with his family. |
