| A book that will make one realize that despite being well settled and leading a happy life, the pain off separation of ones homeland is immense. One cannot forget its roots. This memoir is a biographical account by a reputed scientist, a Kashmiri Pandit who was forced to leave his home and hearth and settle in the USA because of reasons beyond his control. Slowly and over a period of time, his connection with his homeland was severed courtesy terrorism in the land of sages and scholars. Despite having a house of his own in what he perceives as a foreign land, he considers himself as someone who is homeless. His life’s experiences, having lived and worked in three continents, are both informative and interesting for the general reader. This work empathises with everyone who becomes homeless irrespective of the reasons for such a development .Sharing contents of Chapter 14 of the book. |

| About the Author |
Dr. Ashok Raina was born in Srinagar and came to the US in 1970. After working in the area of insect behavior and physiology for over 40 years and in three continents, he retired from the US Department of Agriculture in 2008 and currently lives with his wife Santosh, in Maryland.He has published over 170 scientific papers and is internationally recognized for his work on insects. Now he would much like to spend time in reading, writing (not related to insects) and travel. His primary interest is in exploring links between science and Hindu religion. |
