In Everlasting Memory

Smt. Chuni Devi Raina
(April 30, 1928-August 16, 1995)

Life is eternal and Love is immortal.
And death is only a horizon.
–Kahlil Gibran

Chuni, my dear, my jewel;
Tears in my eyes, still swell...

Years have gone by, from one to twelve;
In your fond memories I for ever dwell ...

To fulfill my promise to you, I stayed behind;
My job is now fully done; tired is my mind...

I miss you so much, my love, if only you knew;
Counting the days to join you, that are now but a few....

Your death, in one cruel stroke, did us apart;
My death will join us again into a sweet new start...

Gopi Nath Raina (Husband)
