Text of the Bhajan
Gvar Lagayo Paadi Kamlan Composed by: Govind Swami |
||||
Introductory note: Dr Chaman Lal Raina
First of all, I listened to this Bhajan in the year 1946. Our neighbour, a very spiritual person-- Pandit Jia Lal Kaw, would recite it very loudly during his Puja in the early morning hours. With this Bhajan recitation, the whole atmosphere in our neighbourhood would get spiritually charged. This was a wake up signal for the school going children of that Mohalla as well. |

Svrgiya Govind Swamina Kashmiri Bhashaayam
Virchita Gurustuti Title: Shiva Shankara Bhava Bhaya Har, Har Lagayo Tsarnan As the Title suggests that Govind Swami has composed in Kashmiri language,which is written in Sanskrit. It appears that this poem must have been documented in the Sharada script, later on translated by some devotee in the Devanagari script. This happens to be the Bhajan of the Ashram as well. Pandit M K Mongha visited Ajmer in the year early 2011. A Bhajan Sandhya was organised, where Pandit M K Mongha--best known as Kaka Ji recited it in his traditional Bhajan tone. I mentioned about this Bhajan recitation to Shri Deepak Ganju ji -- of the Shehjar Editorial Board. Shehjar e-journal is devoted in preserving the cultural and spiritual heritage in Diaspora, hence this Bhajan is being transliterated in the Roman script. This Bhajan consists of 22 Shlokas/. This poem though devoted to Lord Shiva, is highly Yogic in spirit. The Opening lines Shiva Shankara Bhav Bhay Haa Hara Lagayo Tsarnan (Charnan). Beauty of such expression, can come through the institution of a Saint poet only. Shiva Shankar Bhava Bhaya Har Har Lagayo Tsarnan

Homeland campaign after the mass exodus of community from valley drove Mohan Krishen Mongha alias Kaka ji to dig into the layers of time and get to the roots of the intellectual and cultural ethos of the Kashmiri Community. Starting with active participation in the communities fight for survival and identity in the aftermath of communities genocide in Noida (NCR DELHI) right from day one by throwing open the gates of his factory for running and registering of the Kashmir Migrant Welfare Association, Noida besides being a field worker of PK(united). In 1993 Mohan ji took lessons in Indian light classical music which brought him in contact with his spiritual mentor and later his Guru Swami Mastbab ji in Noida coinciding with growth of a small garment fabrication business estab.1986 into a multi crore export business. The opportunity to graduate from a casual singer of kashmiri bhajan to a serious student of Veda and Vedic rituals came in 1996 when Swami ji ordained Kaka ji to assist Sh. M.L.Wangnoo in conducting and performing Ashtami Hawan at Karal Ashram every month as was the practice in Patoli Ashram, Jammu. Since 2008 following the Guru Aadaish (advisory directive) Mohan ji has stepped aside from day to day routine activities of mundane world and is devoting full time seva between Anand Dham, Hushur Ashram, Kashmir established in 1954 by Yogiraj Swami Nandlal ji and Swami Nanadalal Ji Ashram , Karala New Delhi established in 1992 by Swami Mastbabji.
Mohanji is born 1957 in “Paldev Vaasgargi” gotra and is a descendant of Swami Maneh Kak Mongha at Habbakadal Srinagar. |

Pt. M.K. Mongha needs no introduction. He has shown it practically and not through shahstras alone that one needs to gain and no innerself in 'Ekant' mode and is currently in that mode in Hushru ashram called 'Anand Dham' in a chilling cold , cooling and freezing Indriyaas ..........JAI HO !!
