KPCC to lay special focus on J&K

he state of Jammu and Kashmir is going to be on the business radar of the multinational company Momenta Global which is likely to invest in a big way in the state through Public Private Partnership (PPP) programme of the J&K Government. This was disclosed by the Group Chief of Operations of Momenta Global Meera Kaul Sawhney who was interacting with the members of Kashyap Progressive Commerce and Commercial Foundation (KPCC) at a special business breakfast organized by J&K Chapter of KPCC to discuss various business and social issues of J&K.

Momenta is a technology, media and telecommunications company working on the principles of outsourcing, knowledge management and human resource management throughout the world having offices in USA, UAE, India, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt, Bahrain and Singapore etc.

KPCC which has been organizing such business interactions with leading business personalities of Kashmiri Pandit community advising them to invest in J&K to help expand the economy of the state has also been working for the betterment of the society in general by seeking special packages from the sons-of-the-soil (in this case daughter of the soil) for the children of the weaker sections of the society.

Meera who has carved a niche for herself worldwide has shown tremendous interest to invest in J&K through PPP said that J&K will be on the business radar of Momenta and special focus will be given to the J&K adding she was keen to invest in her own state.

The meeting discussed threadbare various issues pertaining to J&K besides the Kashmiri Pandit community languishing in camps.

It was decided to create a data base through KPCC and formulate a solid plan for the capacity building among the KP children besides imparting counseling through experts to be provided by Momenta, skill development and vocational trainings to the deserving students of the community particularly camps in Purkhoo, Mishriwala, Muthi and Nagrota etc.

Deepak Daftari, head J&K Chapter of KPCC briefed the members about the initiatives taken by the organization to help the needy and deserving children through Micro-financing, Wings to Dreams and Turn Around Strategies initiated by KPCC in J&K.

Meanwhile Meera Kaul Sawhney stressed for broadening the vision of the younger generation through career counseling and capacity building measures in which she assured her company’s full support to KPCC.

Prominent among those who held discussions with Meera Kaul Swahney include Deepak Daftari, head KPCC J&K Chapter, Nirojni Bhan, Assistant Professor University of Jammu, Er Rohit Pandita of Vitasta Investments, King C Bharati, Editor The Shadow, Sandeep Bhat, of Radiancz Infratech, Anjali Thussoo, Assistant Professor, Government College of Engineering Jammu, Dr Deepa Mattoo from MAM College, Surender Ambardar, KPCC and Ajay Vaid Govt College of Engineering Jammu.
