Revival of Sharada Script Program initiated by Millennium India Education Foundation(MIEF) in 2013 continues its onward journey to reach out to whole of the nation in quick time and has now signed MOU with Maha Kavi Kalidas Samskrit University Nagpur Maharastra,the 5th university in the country who have joined hands with MIEF for this initiative. Under this initiative, first 5 day capacity building workshop with 32 scholars was held at MKKSU campus in Ramtek Nagpur from 29th October -2nd November 2018. Ramtek Nagpur. It was 30 hour workshop in which the participants were taught level 1 Sharada Script Learning Course. The course has been designed by MIEF expert team and is followed in all places where it conducts such capacity building workshops. The workshop was conducted by Dr Uday Kakroo Director MIEF, Dr S S Toshkhani and Dr Kirti Kant Sharma. Speaking on the valedictory function Prof Shrinivasa Verakhadi Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the university declared that the university will be starting certificate courses in sharada script and other extinct scripts and languages in the university on regular basis from now on. Dr Kakroo Director MIEF said that very shortly MIEF is signing an MOU with a upcoming Skill Development University where learning of this sharada script will be treated as a skill attained and the trained ones would be connected to the industry who are working on the Indian heritage related matters ,to financially support the sharada manuscript transliteration and subsequent translation in other languages related works to be done by these trained scholars as part of their income generation opportunity undeer skill development program.
